Situation

In our recent project, we had a tough task. The project done by our competitors wasn't up to par with the homeowners' expectations. they didn't seem satisfied with how the project was done.

As the new company to help with the issue, we soon realized we needed to gain the owners' trust. In order to gain their trust, we had to focus on the project, we saw that the lines were uneven, the floor was unleveled & the sand wasn't compacted well.

Task

The task was to carefully remove the already installed pavers. When we started to uninstall the pavers we had in mind that the owners wanted us to do one small part of the area. This task was quite difficult because we knew that if we started from one side that was already installed to the new side, the lines were not going to match. The owners and I agreed, we agreed that the lines didn't have to match. Once we both agreed we decided to tackle the next task which was to compact the sand.

Action

When we understood the tasks, we sprung into action carefully removing the pavers. We decided that when compacting the sand, we wouldn't be able to compact the sand manually, since the project that was recently installed the sand wasn't leveled right and that was a problem in the beginning. we decided to use a plate compactor machine. The machine would allow the sand to be compacted safely and well leveled.

Resolve

Resolving this issue was initially challenging as our primary goal was to earn trust. We not only gained their trust but also their respect. Both the owners and the company were pleased with the successful resolution of the poorly executed project. The initial issue of finding a trustworthy company was transformed into a satisfactory outcome for both parties.
